November 11 is set aside to remember those who have fought in those wars that enable me to enjoy the freedoms and blessings provided by this great nation. For generations men and women have put their lives on the line so that I might enjoy the liberty America provides. I honor today those who have served in the military that I might enjoy these freedoms. I pay tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to insure these privileges.
Freedoms that we enjoy include those provided for in the Constitution-religion, the press and expression, the right to bear arms, and so many others. As an American I have come to expect an abundance of freedoms including peace on my home soil.
Let us take this day to remember those who have served, the soldiers who gave their lives on both foreign and American soils, the men and women who long ago put their uniforms away, and those who remain in the camouflage uniforms. Let us enjoy in the beauty of the fall day, the flag that flies overhead, the life that we are able to live and enjoy in our pursuit of liberty and happiness.
Let us remember their legacy to each of us. Let us live our lives to be worthy of this legacy.
